This is one of my favorite cakes I have ever made! My client had sent me a bunch of Frozen cake inspiration photos, but they were mostly two-tier cakes. So I took the turquoise and purple colors & airbrushed them onto a single tier cake. This was an 8″ purple & white swirl cake with vanilla buttercream & strawberry filling. The white drip is white chocolate highlighted with sugar crystals. The Anna, Elsa & Olaf toy figures were provided by my client. Here’s a mini tutorial I made to document how I decorated the cake.

This is a semi-naked buttercream cake, which means that some of the cake shows through the buttercream, was made for an engagement party. It has six layers of red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, topped with my vanilla bean French macarons, and fresh white roses. I think this type of buttercream finish works for a variety of occasions, such as anniversaries, birthdays, rustic style weddings, baby showers, and more! The “Love” cake topper is from Target. Congrats on your engagement Anne & Ronel!? So happy to be part of your special day!

I’m really proud of this Tsum Tsum cake for Mikaela’s 7th birthday party on May 15th. It involved a lot of hand-sculpted Tsum Tsum characters that I really enjoyed making! Minnie Mouse was my favorite one to sculpt, and Elsa took a close second. That’s probably why they decided to share the coveted cake topper position!
This was an extra tall two-tier 4″ over 6″ buttercream covered cake with fondant accents. The cake was chocolate & vanilla marble with vanilla buttercream.
Client review: “_chelly_d: @mmcbakes it was so delicious! I’m so glad we did buttercream frosting instead of fondant. It was a hit! I had to hide a small slice for me to eat tomorrow ? I can’t get over how cute and delicious this cake was. I wish I found you sooner. ?
Thanks to Rochelle for sending this adorable photo of the birthday girl for me to share, and for your kind review!
