https://instagram.com/p/8_VJqPyjIm/?taken-by=mmcbakes First time making a cake with a bunch of sculpted fondant figures!  I thought the figures were going to be simpler to make as they were very boxy, but they took longer to because of the sharp edges of each cube!  Nonetheless, had a great time making this one.  It’s an 8″ round cake that can feed up to 20 party slices, and my prices start at $3 per serving for fondant covered cakes like this one.  I also charge between $5-$10 for each sculpted figure.

I made this splatter paint Jabbawockeez themed cake for my son’s 3rd birthday.  He absolutely LOVED it!  We actually still have the edible fondant Jabbawockee cake topper I sculpted because my son won’t let anyone eat it!  He wants to keep it forever! 🙂 This was a simple vanilla almond cake filled with vanilla bean buttercream & creamy, delicious leche flan.  I LOVE making flan, and received so many compliments on the way the cake looked and tasted.  Happy Birthday, my dear Nate!  Love, Mommy

I’m pleased to announce that my Ube Cheesecake is now available at Filipino Food and Bakery, San Diego! Made from scratch, from the real purple yam and cream cheese filling, to the graham cracker with toasted coconut crust.  Ube, pronounced “ou-beh,” is a nutritious purple yam, that is abundant in the Philippines.  This sweet and rich ingredient is used in many Filipino desserts, such as ice cream, cakes, or on it’s own as an amazing jam.  Those that have tasted my Ube cheesecake like the fact that you can definitely taste the purple yam (it’s not just colored), and it’s not too sweet, but just right.  Try a slice today! https://instagram.com/p/7S_tXKSjGB/?taken-by=mmcbakes
